1. Copyright Protection
Coropos Web Services respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our services to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.
2. Our Role as Service Provider
As a web development and hosting service provider, we:
- Do not actively monitor client websites for copyright infringement
- Respond promptly to valid DMCA takedown notices
- Remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material when properly notified
- Terminate accounts of repeat infringers
- Respect the counter-notification process for disputed claims
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
3.1 DMCA Takedown Notice Requirements
If you believe that content hosted on our servers or services infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice containing ALL of the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work:
- Describe the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- If multiple works, provide a representative list
- Include registration number if registered with U.S. Copyright Office
- Identification of the infringing material:
- Provide the exact URL(s) where the material is located
- Describe the material in sufficient detail for us to locate it
- Include screenshots if helpful
- Contact Information:
- Your full legal name
- Mailing address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Good Faith Statement:
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement:
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Physical or Electronic Signature:
Your physical or electronic signature (typed full name is acceptable for email).
3.2 Where to Send DMCA Notices
Send your complete DMCA takedown notice to our designated Copyright Agent:

Note: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees, if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
3.3 Response Timeline
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of valid notices within 2 business days
- Review: We will review the notice for completeness and validity
- Action: If valid, we will remove or disable access to the material within 5 business days
- Notification: We will notify the client whose content was removed
4. Counter-Notification Process
4.1 If Your Content Was Removed
If you believe material you posted was wrongly removed due to a DMCA takedown notice, you may file a counter-notification.
4.2 Counter-Notification Requirements
A valid counter-notification must include ALL of the following:
- Identification of material removed:
- URL where material appeared before removal
- Description of the material
- Your Contact Information:
- Your full legal name
- Mailing address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Consent to Jurisdiction:
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if outside the US, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or an agent of such person.
- Good Faith Statement:
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Physical or Electronic Signature:
Your physical or electronic signature.
4.3 Counter-Notification Process
- Send your counter-notification to: dmca@coroposws.com
- We will forward your counter-notification to the original complainant
- The complainant has 10 business days to file a court action
- If no court action is filed, we will restore the content within 10-14 business days
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
5.1 Three-Strike Policy
We maintain a repeat infringer policy in accordance with DMCA requirements:
- First Offense: Warning issued, content removed, account remains active
- Second Offense: Account suspended for 30 days, content removed
- Third Offense: Account permanently terminated
5.2 Tracking Infringements
- We maintain records of all valid DMCA notices for 3 years
- Repeat offenses are tracked per account, not per website
- Counter-notifications that result in content restoration do not count as strikes
- Infringements older than 2 years are not counted toward termination
5.3 Appeals Process
If your account is suspended or terminated for repeat infringement:
- You may request a review by emailing appeals@coroposws.com
- Provide evidence that notices were erroneous or content was licensed
- We will review within 10 business days
- Decision is final and at our sole discretion
6. Safe Harbor Protections
6.1 DMCA Safe Harbor
We qualify for DMCA safe harbor protections under 17 U.S.C. § 512 because we:
- Have designated a Copyright Agent
- Respond promptly to DMCA notices
- Terminate repeat infringers
- Do not have actual knowledge of infringing activity
- Do not receive financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity
6.2 Limitations of Liability
Under DMCA safe harbor provisions, we are not liable for:
- Copyright infringement by our clients
- User-generated content on client websites
- Content stored on our servers at the direction of clients
7. Client Responsibilities
7.1 Copyright Obligations
Clients using our services agree to:
- Only upload content they own or have permission to use
- Obtain proper licenses for stock photos, music, video, fonts, etc.
- Respect third-party copyrights and trademarks
- Respond promptly to copyright infringement allegations
- Indemnify us against copyright claims arising from their content
7.2 Licensed Content
When using licensed content:
- Keep records of all licenses and permissions
- Ensure licenses cover commercial use if applicable
- Attribute content as required by license terms
- Renew licenses before expiration
- Remove content when license expires
8. Our Copyright
8.1 Coropos Web Services Copyrights
All content on coroposws.com, including but not limited to:
- Website design and layout
- Graphics, logos, and branding
- Written content and blog posts
- Code and software
- Templates and themes
is protected by copyright and owned by Coropos Web Services unless otherwise noted.
8.2 Client Website Ownership
For websites we develop:
- Custom Code: Client owns copyright upon full payment
- Third-Party Components: Licensed to client per original license terms
- Templates: Client receives limited license; we retain copyright
- Content: Client owns all content they provide
- Design: Client owns upon full payment; we may showcase in portfolio
9. Fair Use Considerations
9.1 Fair Use Policy
We recognize that fair use is a legal defense to copyright infringement. However:
- Fair use determinations are made by courts, not by us
- We must comply with valid DMCA notices regardless of fair use claims
- You may assert fair use in a counter-notification
- We recommend consulting an attorney for fair use questions
9.2 Fair Use Factors
Fair use generally considers:
- Purpose and character of use (commercial vs. educational)
- Nature of the copyrighted work
- Amount used in relation to the whole
- Effect on the market for the original work
10. Trademark Issues
10.1 Trademark Infringement
While this policy primarily addresses copyright, we also address trademark concerns:

- We will investigate and respond within 10 business days
